Prosperity has been a subject of great debate, particularly in the church. Everyone seems to have their own definition of what it means to be prosperous. The Bible speaks on it, but just like everything else, people have different interpretations. Some will interpret it as having material wealth. At the same time, others believe that it’s when God supplies your needs. Yet there is a countless number of motivational speakers as well as Word of Faith Bible teachers, that are advocates for material wealth. Prosperity is a relative term. To a person who lives in a country where they don’t have the things we take for granted, people with basic necessities are rich. I remember being stationed in the Republic of Panama as a United States Army soldier in my early twenties. I saw firsthand how people lived in an underdeveloped county. When I walked up and down the streets of Panama while off duty, I felt very privileged and also blessed. I saw things that I never saw before, at least not to that extent. The point I’m making is to them; we were very wealthy.
I believe that we were all meant to prosper materially. That will always be my position. But I do understand that the majority will not have an abundance, and there are many reasons why. However, it is not my purpose to address those things in this post. Where I stand on this subject is evident just by the name of this website, which is also the name of my brand. I believe God is abundant, and the universe is plentiful.
I grew up in the church listening to the prosperity teachers of that time. Some were extreme, but the basics of the teaching were very enlightening. I now listen to many motivational speakers, they have the same mindset regarding material wealth, but they are just not teaching using the Bible. Their focus is more on mindset or “The Law of Attraction.” But just like the “Prosperity Theology” teachers in the church, you will sometimes be left in the dark about where this wealth will actually come from. You will not prosper materially just by believing in it. You need a way to get it. The speakers, preachers, and teachers are just for mindset and motivation. You will not get rich by simply believing it or even claiming it. There must be a pathway for you to actually obtain it.
So we will now look at several pathways that can lead to a prosperous life. Not every person who does these things will become extremely wealthy, but you can. The possibilities are definitely there. This will not be an exhaustive list. It is not possible way to cover every pathway.
- Real Estate
Real Estate is that it can be broken down into many sub-sectors. There is a vast number of ways you can prosper with Real Estate. You don’t have to learn all of these skills to become successful. Out of the first three I mention, just pick one. Here are just a few examples…
The Agent -Someone who helps sell property representing the buyer or seller. I believe this is a pathway to prosperity because the sky is the limit as to what you can make.
The Renter– This is when you rent out properties that you own. These may be homes you renovated or even apartments. Just realize you’re obviously not gonna get rich with one property. But the sky is the limit if you keep repeating the process.
The Flipper– This is when you buy a property that needs fixing up. You buy it cheaply, do repairs, and sell it for a nice profit. Once again, if your goal is to be ultra-wealthy, you must repeat the process.
The Hard Money Lender is when you offer high-interest short-term loans for people buying property. They either can’t get a loan elsewhere or can’t get it as quickly as they need it. You will basically be a “payday loan” for real estate. Sounds very lucrative to me.
Commercial Real Estate– If you get to the point of investing in commercial real estate. You’re big-time, but it’s all about progression.
2. Internet Marketing
Now this is where I live; this is my bread and butter. The Internet has changed the game of how almost every business is done around the world. You do not get a piece of it. The beautiful thing about it is that it can be done from the comfort of your own home. It also can be done from anywhere you travel in the world. Your business can go with you if you have a laptop because it’s all online.
Like real estate, online marketing can be divided into many different categories. It is not even possible to do them all. I had to learn this the hard way. I bought course after course, system after system, thinking that I needed to do it all to succeed. But nothing was further from the truth. Combining too many techniques will only hurt your efforts when trying to succeed online. Making money online is a real business and must be treated as such. It takes time, attention, and dedication just to do one of these things and see some real results. So it’s practically impossible to do ten different things and have success, especially when you’re just starting.
When it comes to selling digital products, there are many ways to market online, but they all fall under two different umbrellas:
Digital Publishing- This is when you are creating and marketing your own digital products.
Affiliate Marketing– This is when you sell other peoples product for a cut of the sale. Affiliate marketing can also be very lucrative.
So let’s take a quick look at some of the more popular ways to make money online. Keep in mind these are very basic explanations.
- Blogging– A blog is meant to be informative when you share your views on a particular topic. It can be monetized when the platform promotes products using affiliate links. The goal is to drive free traffic to a website using SEO( Search Engine Optimization).
- Youtuber- This is when a person creates and uploads videos on the popular video-sharing platform called YouTube. They can cover various topics and genres, such as vlogs, comedy sketches, beauty tutorials, gaming content, educational videos, music covers, and much more. YouTubers often develop their unique style and build a community of viewers and subscribers who follow their content. They monetize their channel, and many have become millionaires.
- Google Adwords – This is a paid traffic technique. You use Google’s advertising platform to bid on certain keywords to get visitors to click on a link.
- Email Marketing – This is when you collect emails to build relationships and promote relative products.
- Facebook Advertising– Using Facebook ads to promote products or services.
- Youtube Advertising _ Using Youtube ads to promote products or services.
- E-Commerce – This is when you are promoting physical products on the internet.
Real Estate and Online Marketing are two of the most common ways people become wealthy today. There are many other ways to become wealthy, simply by learning a specific skill. Our minds have been programmed since we were kids that the way to get money is to trade time for it. This type of money, however, is not designed to make you wealthy.
Let me briefly list a few other things that can put wealth in your hands just as it has for others.
Stock Market Investing– This is when you buy stock in a company, your stock becomes worth more as the company becomes worth more. You can trade in your stock for profits. That’s the gist of it.
Coaching and Consulting– This is when you help people go from where they are to where they want to be. It will be in an area where you have become an expert. You will help them change their mindset while guiding them through the process of knowing what to do and how to do it. You can be a Coach or Consultant in any of the areas mentioned in this blog. Or anything that you have expertise.
Freelance Copywriting– Copywriting is the ability to sell through the written word. As a copywriter, you will greatly understand buying behavior and the buyer’s psychology. You guide them through a sales funnel every step of the way.
So as you can see, there are many pathways to prosperity, and I didn’t mention things like Forex, Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency, International trading, and Investing in gold. I’m basically trying to establish that there are options out there that can lead to a very impressive bank account. I’m also trying to emphasize that if you want to obtain wealth, you need a pathway to get it. Nothing is going to fall out of the sky. Anyone that disagrees is more than likely broke. If they quote you a scripture or give you a philosophy, tell them to show you the money and prove it.
